ACME MultiSports was a name the owners, Allen Curtis and Mark Evans, came up with that is an acronym for their own names. Owning a triathlon store has long been a dream of both owners. In the summer of 2005, we began talking about making the dream a reality. We found the perfect place in Goodlettsville just off I-65. Construction began January of 2006 and we moved in to the store in March 20, 2006.
Mark has been racing in triathlons for about ten years. Allen has been racing for about six. Both have raced in everything from Sprint distances to Ironman distance races. Mark's favorite triathlon races include Ironman Florida, Gulf Coast, Memphis in May, Mountain Lakes, and Music City. Allen has raced in Gulf Coast and Buckeye Challenge, IM Florida, IM Wisconsin, and IM Arizona.
Since Mark and Allen had been in the triathlon scene, they often struggled with finding all their triathlon needs in one place. No one place in Middle TN had everything you would need for a triathlon. We wanted to have one store where you could get everything you need for swimming, biking and running. It's one stop shopping for triathlons. We want to be the premier triathlon store in the area. When one thinks of triathlons, we want them to think of ACME MultiSports.
